The Art of Hospitality
SHARING AN INHERITANCE
For more than sixty years, the Pinturault family has been creating places in Courchevel where hospitality is both passed down and lived out. A history shaped by the mountains, meaningful encounters, and the desire to create homes where people love to return. Each property has its own identity, character, and atmosphere. All share the same approach to hospitality, rooted in attention to guests, the surroundings, and the moments shared together.
A Story of Family and Innovation
1961
Opening of the Les Sherpas Hotel
Christiane André , and Pinturault are opening their first location in Courchevel. In a resort that’s still rapidly developing, they’ve decided to settle there for the long term and are beginning to build what will become a true family venture.
1974
Opening of l’Hôtel Annapurna
A few years after Les Sherpas, Christiane and André conceived a new hotel at the foot of the Pralong. The hotel opened its doors in 1974 and quickly became the centerpiece of their business. Over the years, the hotel expanded and became a permanent fixture in the Courchevel landscape.
1984
Claude Pinturault Reunites with His Parents
Alongside Christiane and André, he gradually became involved in the hotel’s management. For more than thirty years, he supported the hotel’s growth and helped it evolve over the years, within a hospitality industry that was itself undergoing major transformation.
2019

After growing up in the hotel and learning the trade from her father, Sandra took over as manager. She is turning a new page in the hotel’s history, guiding it forward with her vision and convictions while preserving the spirit of the hotel as envisioned by her grandparents and the deep connection that binds it to its surroundings.
2022–2023
La Maison Pinturault takes on a new dimension
The acquisition of l’Hôtel Les Peupliers in 2022 marked a new chapter in the family’s history. La Maison Pinturault was then launched, under the leadership of Sandra Pinturault. In 2023, les Chalets Altaï was added to the portfolio.
