A STORY OF FAMILY AND INNOVATION

La famille Pinturault

Entrepreneurs at heart, Christiane and André Pinturault were already owners and direct managers of the Hotel Les Sherpas since 1961, when they decided to open a second establishment at the top of the Pralong slope in 1972. The luxury hotel – one of the most pioneering of its time – opened in 1974: the Hotel Annapurna.

In 1984, their son Claude took over the hotel, which had become a preferred holiday destination, and turned it into a destination in its own right. Claude ran the hotel for over thirty years before passing the reins to Sandra in 2019 as General Manager.

LA MAISON PINTURAULT COLLECTION

In spring 2022, the Pinturault family acquired new properties in Courchevel Le Praz, giving a new dimension to the family business under the name La Maison Pinturault:

Hotel Les Peupliers****, the restaurants La Table de Mon Grand-Père and L’Étable des Lys. They also built the Chalets Altaï in 2022.

Joining Hotel Annapurna*****, these addresses now form part of a curated and committed collection.

La Maison Pinturault is dedicated to offering its guests a stay combining refinement, comfort, and personalized service, where luxury and authenticity meet in a warm and prestigious setting.

MAURICE & BORIS

La famille Pinturault

Christiane and André Pinturault wished to pay tribute to their friend Maurice Herzog, the famous mountaineer who was the first to reach the summit of Annapurna in Nepal, by giving his name to the hotel.

The mascot of the Hotel Annapurna*****, a little white bear, is therefore named ‘Maurice’.

In the same spirit, Alexis Pinturault named the mascot of the Chalets Altaï ‘Boris’. It pays tribute to Boris Tronov, the first climber to reach the summit of Mount Belukha, the highest peak of the Altai range.
