A STORY OF FAMILY AND INNOVATION

Entrepreneurs to the core, Christiane and André PINTURAULT had already been owners and managers of the Hotel Les Sherpas since 1961, when they decided to open a second establishment at the very top of the Pralong piste, in 1972. The luxury hotel – one of the most pioneering for its time – was built in 1974: the Hotel Annapurna.

In 1984, their son Claude took over the hotel, which had become a choice vacation spot, and turned it into a destination in its own right. Claude will run the hotel for over thirty years before handing over to Sandra in 2019 as General Manager.

LA MAISON PINTURAULT COLLECTION

In the spring of 2022, the Pinturault family acquired new premises in Courchevel le Praz, giving a new dimension to the family business under the name La Maison Pinturault :

Hôtel Les Peupliers****, the restaurants La Table de Mon Grand-Père and l’Étable des Lys. They will then build Chalets Altai in 2022.

Joining Hotel Annapurna*****, these addresses are now part of an embodied and committed collection.

Maison Pinturault is committed to offering its guests a stay combining refinement, comfort and personalized service, where luxury and authenticity meet in a warm and prestigious setting.

MAURICE BORIS

Christiane and André PINTURAULT wanted to pay tribute to their friend Maurice Herzog, the famous mountaineer who first climbed the Annapurna peak in Nepal, by naming the hotel after him.

Hotel Annapurna*****’s mascot, a little polar bear, is named “Maurice”.

Continuing this tradition, Alexis PINTURAULT named the Chalets Altaï mascot “Boris” in homage to Boris TRONOV, the first mountaineer to climb Mount Beloukha, the highest peak in the Altai massif.
